The soft-start/stop feature provides slow acceleration and deceleration of the stirrer, avoiding excessive turbulence in the culture media and eliminating cell damage. Use the interval stirring mode during the attachment phase to further reduce agitation of the media or when culturing particularly fragile cells. The stirrers create virtually no heat making them suitable for use in both incubators and cold rooms. The culture vessels incorporate a unique base design which, together with the bulb-ended stirrer, ensures that the cells are lifted into suspension at the lowest possible speeds. The low-profile stirrers use microprocessor control for precise and reproducible operation. Manual mode provides stir, stir reverse and time functions. Profiles mode allows users to quickly program speed, ramp rate, stir direction, time (including pause) and power level in 9 distinct steps. Up to 4 stirring programs can be saved.
